Altruistic surrogacy is legal in Australia while commercial surrogacy is not. This means that the Intended Parents (IPs) will cover all of the surrogacy/pregnancy related expenses however there is no financial gain or reward for the surrogate. We do it for love!
I am a gestational surrogate which means that the baby that I will babysit for 9 months is not genetically mine.
